Campanile Lyon Sud - Feyzin

Check-in was quick and easy, and our room was clean and neat when we arrived. Everyone on staff was polite and happy to help with what we needed. We had a lovely stay, and I’ll come back next time I’m in Lyon. Thanks so much 👍

It felt quiet and secure even though the motel was full. The grounds were well lit, and there were surveillance cameras. Our room had its own entrance, and the separate entrances for the rooms meant less worry about corona infection. The rooms are split across two levels. There was even a sliding bed under ours for a child, which we only spotted in the morning. We arrived after 10 pm, so the computer-based self check-in by the gate was handy for getting the key. The place was very easy to find at night, and it’s close to the highway. Parking was free and behind a gate. The bathroom had a huge shower cabin, and the staff were welcoming and friendly. The design felt fresh and new, including the decent interior in the restaurant and reception building near the entrance. I really like this US-style motel setup, the kind you see in dozens of Hollywood films. I wouldn’t call it a hotel, though. You can bring your lover and they don’t ask many questions or demand IDs from other people. We were there as a family of three, two parents and a kid. Loved the stay and will stop here again.

The place is basic, but it was clean and good value for money. The staff were so welcoming and friendly, and I really enjoyed staying here with my girlfriend earlier in the year. I’ll definitely be back.

The location was awful, and I found the rooms claustrophobic. The AC was useless, and dinner was limited to some questionable pizzas. We had to eat sitting on the bed because there weren’t any other flat surfaces. Reception staff were very nice, but that’s the only positive I can think of. This was a really poor experience, and we’ll avoid the place in future.
