It felt much cozier than I expected, and the place has a thoughtful, distinctive feel.

The setting is what we loved most: peaceful, beautiful, and full of history. Inside, though, it was incredibly hot. There was no air conditioning, which I understand, but not even a fan. It was quite different from what we're used to.

The owner was warm and discreet, and clearly very inventive and skilled. Staying in those old cider barrels makes for a wonderfully unusual night, in a beautiful spot. We highly recommend it when visiting Normandy if you're after some peace and quiet.

Pretty cool and definitely unusual. Just be aware that getting around can be awkward if you're tall or not very flexible. I'd recommend it to young people wanting a change of scenery.

The owner was friendly and efficient, and I really liked the beautiful setting. I didn't get to sleep there because of overbooking, but I hope we can come back soon.
