Domaine Du Lac

We came by bicycle and were glad to find secure, suitable bike storage right outside our room. The room was well equipped, with air conditioning we could control ourselves, and we slept extremely well. Dinner on the outdoor terrace beneath the big trees was delicious. The figs salad was probably the best we had, and the wood fire grilled steak was a highlight of our eight days cycling tour. The team seemed to genuinely enjoy their work and time with guests, and deserve our compliments. It may be rated 3* under the French hotel classification system, but our experience felt like much more: a family run business with heart and great customer service in a wonderfully French country setting. We'd definitely return one day and recommend it to anyone looking for a countryside hotel, a great night's sleep, and delicious lunch or dinner in a cozy setting.

Our annex room had recently been redecorated and fitted with a new bathroom. It was lovely, with a comfortable bed and a great bath and shower. The food and service were good too, and the pork loin is worth trying. Breakfast was especially good, with the delightful manageress serving us herself. There's a large pool with a bar and seating areas, plus shaded parking and an EV charger among the wooded grounds. It's a nice rural setting not far from Aix-en-Provence. There was plenty to do, but we were only passing through and couldn't make the most of it.

We were in town for a friend's wedding, and the hotel made the whole busy weekend feel easy. Charly and Keiko adjusted their usual hours to help with our jet lag, and both were personable, went above and beyond, and gave stellar service. The family estate has rooms spread across it, with a pool and verandas, and an amazing atmosphere. The food and service were impeccable too. It's a gem in a beautiful part of the south of France. We can't praise Charly, Keiko, and this place enough, and can't wait to return and reconnect.

We ended up stranded near le luc after our car broke down, and the hotel manager offered us a lift and spoke with the garage that had our car. We stayed for two nights and enjoyed every minute. Our superior room was spacious, with a seating area, a lovely view from the big window, a huge comfortable bed, and a great bathroom. With no transport, we spent the day by the lovely pool. Both nights we ate on the terrace, where the food was outstanding, by far the best of our holiday, and the service was impeccable. The staff were so helpful and even drove us to the train station when we left. A real 5 star experience. I can't recommend it enough.
