There’s a wonderfully odd mix of artifacts here, and the doll display with the creepy-eyed one is a must-see. The restored chateau doubles as a hotel and B&B as well as a historical museum. If your host offers you some local cider, give it a try. Well worth spending a day here.

The park is lovely for an evening walk, and the location works well for trips to Rouen, the coast, Beauvais, Lyons-la-Foret, or even Paris. Inside, the historical kitchen is beautiful and makes a nice spot for breakfast. The rooms are a little dark, which adds to the atmosphere, and the beds are comfy. It costs a bit, but getting to feel like you own the castle without worrying about its upkeep makes it worth it.

Breakfast in the authentic kitchen was a lovely touch. We stayed one night in the “green room” as a surprise for my girlfriend, and it was a grand success. Absolutely fantastic.

The owner met us at the gate in a very bad temper and was unhelpful, even positively aggressive. Give this place a miss!
