Hôtel & SPA Napoléon

I used the spa without staying at the hotel. It's still a nice place to spend time, and I might go back if I wanted a sauna and some relaxation, but for the same price there are probably better choices. The spa itself is good, though it seems to be slipping a little on routine upkeep. The steam room was out of order on our first visit. On the next one, the poolside shower was partly broken and badly covered in limescale. The changing area is also so tiny that only one guest or one couple can use it at once, which left people waiting up to 20 minutes to change after swimming.

We needed somewhere to unwind after a hectic time in Paris, and this was just right. The room was clean and comfortable, breakfast had a delicious selection, and we ended up lingering for an hour because it was so relaxing. The gardens around Fountainblue chateau and the charming town are close by, and the hotel is near the local bus stop. The welcome was warm but discreet, check-in was easy, and they stored our bags and booked the spa for our private use. I highly recommend reserving an hour for the pool. They also serve afternoon petit fours, and reception always made us feel welcome. Lucile, Melina and the rest of the staff were fantastic. I'd live here if I could! 👍

The hotel's location was brilliant. The bus from the train station dropped us almost outside, and Fontainebleau grounds were just across the road, starting at the Gardens of Diana. Lucile gave us a lovely welcome and greeted us with a smile whenever we came back in. After a long day of walking, having the spa to ourselves for our booked swim was so relaxing. The sauna and hammam were nice too, although the pool was long and narrow. Breakfast was really good, with pastries, fruit, cheeses, meats, bacon, scrambled eggs, sausages, pancakes, tea and coffee. Everything else felt perfect, though we couldn't seem to adjust the air conditioning.

We stopped by the Lobby bar at 11 am on September 2 and were really impressed by the reception desk's attentiveness and the warmest welcome at the Bar 🍸. The service and the place were incredible.
