Le Petit Clos

The surrounding countryside is stunning, and although the village takes about 10 km of mountain roads to reach, the drive is worth it. Our room was named after a grape variety and had a terrace overlooking the garden and pool. It was nicely decorated, with a shower bathroom and hairdryer. The owners were very kind. They serve lunch or dinner if booked ahead, and since we arrived very late, the landlady kindly put together a quick snack for us.

The house was spotless, the pool was lovely, and breakfast was delicious. The place felt peaceful, and the hosts were so welcoming. I also met their daughters and granddaughter, who were just as charming. Le Petit Clos is right beside Gilles Goujon's restaurant, which was a real treat. Even though it was fully booked, the hosts found a way for us to have dinner there. Such thoughtful kindness is rare. The prices seemed very reasonable for what you get. A wonderful place, and I highly recommend it.

Just a few minutes' walk away is Gilles Goujon's famous restaurant, "L'Auberge du Vieux Puits." We had a very warm welcome, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The outdoor relaxation area and pool were lovely, and breakfast was enjoyable. It's a great spot for a relaxing break in a charming village typical of the region.
