La Maison

We found free parking on the street and in the small lot by the entrance, and there’s a garden behind the B&B. It’s around 15 minutes from Josselin. Our room was spacious, though the bathroom felt a bit cramped and had a sloping ceiling. Breakfast was good, with the owners’ dog nearby for company. It was a warm evening, but luckily the two attic rooms have portable air conditioning. The breakfast room was large too.

The owners were kind and helpful, and we had a really good stay. The building is historic but nicely renovated, with the amenities we needed. There are three rooms, plus a little bar area with a fridge stocked with soft drinks and water, a kettle, and a coffee maker. Our room was upstairs on the second floor, reached by a spiral staircase, so bear that in mind. Breakfast was excellent, with croissants, bread, and jam, and an adorable cuddly dog came to greet us and keep us company while we ate. The bathroom had a window and a handy magnifying mirror 😉 There’s portable air conditioning in the room, but the hose means you have to leave the window open. We didn’t use it, since leaving the windows slightly open was enough. The downside was mosquitoes coming toward the light, though mosquito repellent was provided. A lovely, peaceful B&B. Highly recommended.

The village is quite small, so getting around is necessary if you want to visit places. Still, we were welcomed warmly into a charming, inviting house. The price was reasonable for the excellent service, I slept very well, and breakfast was superb.

The place was comfortable, beautifully decorated, and peaceful. We lacked nothing, and especially liked the little relaxation area with its mini bar. The owner was welcoming but discreet, and made us feel at home. Breakfast was generous and excellent, and we also got helpful tips for exploring the area. The kindness and availability made the stay very pleasant. It’s well placed for enjoying the area’s natural and cultural heritage, and there’s a very good crêperie just five minutes away for dinner. We’d happily come back!
