My room and bathroom were lovely, and I had them to myself during the stay. They fit the château's carefully kept style really well. The building itself is a treat, with those striking round towers and beautiful architecture, set in another gorgeous part of France. June or Patsy gives you a warm welcome when you arrive.

June and Patsy made us feel so welcome during our honeymoon stay. The château is absolutely beautiful, and Niort is only a short drive away for meals and sightseeing. La Rochelle and a few other places to visit are also within an hour. We stayed for a few days and loved it.

The garden is such a charming spot, and our room was really comfortable. We had hoped for a bath, though, so that was the one disappointment. June and Patsy were kind, cheerful hosts and made us feel very welcome. We’re French, but communication wasn’t difficult thanks to everyone adapting. We loved the place, got a great chance to practice our English, and would come back. If you love castles, don’t hesitate!

The blue room was my favorite, and I especially enjoyed the hot shower. There was a coffee machine right beside the bed, and we had fresh croissants for breakfast. I was happy with everything and would definitely come back. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful castle.
