The greenery makes this place. Such a cute spot, and it was just right for me. One of the best places I've stayed, top quality. I'll be back!

The main concern was the price: €450 for two nights, with no extra services included and everything charged separately. For that amount, we expected a more unusual, exotic stay that matched the promotional video. I'm writing to let future guests know, not to attack the owners or property. The video and what my close friends found on site were very different. They had first been drawn in by the YouTube video. The outdoor bed was left in the rain, with a wet mattress and what looked like long-standing cat hair. The jacuzzi was still covered when they arrived, then switched on just before they used it; it didn't look especially clean, and there was gravel at the bottom. The listing presents the place as intimate and secluded, but the simple Wild West-style doors don't create much privacy or coziness. Reaching the room means walking past tenants who live there year-round, which also detracts from the advertised seclusion. The “natural” setting amounted to a few plants amid an industrial area and dilapidated housing in the heart of Fort-de-France.

We paid for two nights at Creole Bay and Spa, and it was extremely disappointing. It's described as a hotel, but the room is on the lower level of a villa with a family living directly above. That should be made clear. The bed was rock hard, and I couldn't sleep. I woke up sore all over, and there was hair on the bathroom floor. Since the booking couldn't be refunded, we had no option to cancel. The advertised paradise relaxation area was poorly kept. The loungers, swing chairs, and bed had no protection and were wet and covered in leaves. The hammock net on the ground was unusable and uninviting, with neglected grass growing through it. The jacuzzi cover was just resting on a piece of wood, the gate was broken, and there were mushrooms along the path to this supposedly magical spot. It wasn't worth the money at all. The website photos need changing, and the listing should say that this isn't a hotel. The photos look dreamy, don't they?

We had a lovely time as a couple, and the garden is really lush. The rooms are beautifully decorated, and the jacuzzi and terrace match the photos. Getting between the room and terrace means walking in a bathrobe, though, and they're separate, so you might run into other guests. I'm not sure I'd recommend the €70 brunch box. There's not much variety, and it was very flaky and heavy. Paying in cash was inconvenient too.

The garden is stunning, with every detail considered, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. It's a peaceful place to relax. The host was warm and helpful, and those little things made our stay especially enjoyable. The amenities were very high quality as well. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return.
