Maison Clementine

We spent two nights here to see Fort de France and the surrounding area. You need a car to get downtown, to Balata gardens, a Rhum distillerie, or the beach restaurants. The property is very close to the airport and in a safe environment. Clementine has a real eye for decoration, with details throughout that suit the house, including the garden and the swimming pool lit with fiber lights.

Breakfast is served around a shared table, which made it a nice chance to meet other guests. The owners were lovely and always ready to help, with tips to make the most of our stay. We spent two nights at Clementine before heading off on a sailing trip to Grenadines, and it was a great experience at this charming little hotel. The whole place is thoughtfully arranged, and the rooms are beautifully decorated with lots of local character. If we come back, we’ll stay at Clementine again.

Our room, the Chambre Mayero, had a lovely balcony overlooking the pool, and everything inside was extremely clean. Clementine gave us a warm welcome. We really looked forward to breakfast each morning, with its tasty mix of fruit, yogurt, breads, and juice. We loved our week at La Maison de Clementine and would be happy to return. We ended up adding extra nights because we loved our stay so much. The room was beautiful, breakfast was great, and we had wonderful conversations with the owner, Clementine. She even gave us a birthday cake, which made the occasion extra special. We were a bit intimidated at first because we don’t speak French, but Clementine was patient with us, and her dinner and sightseeing suggestions made our time in Martinique especially memorable.
