The hotel is a great base for reaching many sights in Bretagne, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. Our first room was too small for our needs, but they quickly moved us to one that worked better. I highly recommend staying here.

Our golfing group has stayed at this hotel for around ten years. It’s in one of Europe’s most beautiful locations, right on the beach and in a very attractive, quiet French village, so it’s ideal for a family beach holiday. There aren’t many local amenities, but the ones nearby are great: three Michelin-starred restaurants and a fantastic brasserie, as well as the hotel restaurant.

Restaurant review only: I’d avoid this place for food. We ended up here because Le Canot, where we’d eaten before and really liked, was fully booked. None of us ate much of our food at the restaurant in Garrigae Cap Coz. My wife’s grilled salmon looked like something from a bad service station in the middle of nowhere, not a seaside restaurant in France. Maybe its appearance put me off, but my mussels didn’t look good either. I ate some, and spent the afternoon hoping I wouldn’t get food poisoning. The kids’ burgers were okay, though they didn’t eat them. The service was friendly but slow and disjointed. The water arrived about 20 minutes after the other drinks and cost €7. I’m giving service two stars only because the waiter seemed nice. The kids’ juices were €6 each, which is just about acceptable if you’re in a particularly nice restaurant. Apart from the view, I can’t think of anything about the meal I’m glad we did. The bill came to about 10% more than at Le Canot, and the two places are only comparable by being on the same beach. I questioned the bill, and with so much food left on all our plates, you might think the staff would have cared. They didn’t. Don’t go here. Book Le Canot ahead of time, it fills up.

We enjoyed our stay last year, and came back this year to enjoy it just as much. The staff are wonderful, and dinner was as good as at a five-star hotel. We’re planning to return next year for a much longer visit. The setting is fantastic, right on the beach. It’s the best hotel find we’ve had in years.
