Gites de Fourches

We had one of the cottages, with 11 of us spread across the bedrooms. It was spotless and felt welcoming, and it works really well with kids since the essentials are already there, including a bed, high chair and slide.

There’s lots of green space and a spot to sunbathe, and we spent our time playing pétanque, billiards and ping-pong. The cottage itself is pretty and comfortable, with room for a big family.

The Christmas decorations were a lovely extra. The cottage has been restored beautifully and is easy to get to, making it a great fit for a family weekend.

The enclosed courtyard had lots of parking, and there was a little garden too. The area around it was very quiet, and the place was clean when we arrived. Getting the key from the safe was a great setup. It was nicely decorated and had plenty of room, three bathrooms, a pool table, a comfortable sofa and chairs, so we had what we needed for a pleasant family holiday. The owner wasn’t there in person, but answered the phone right away when we had a question or problem. I’d love to come back! 🤩 I’m also keen on horseback riding, so I was thrilled to find a stud farm nearby, with horses in Fourches just a 5-minute walk away (see photos). The only small downside was that you could feel the springs in the bed, and some bedrooms were a bit cramped, with the roof right overhead in places. Still, they worked fine as bedrooms, and we had a great stay.
