The castle feels genuinely original, and its gardens are well kept. The owner is renovating it gradually and doing the work alone. Breakfast was good. A few things need attention: the shower didn't drain properly, the toilet seat wasn't secure, and there was no bottle of water on our second night. Also watch out for the flower pot in the parking area when reversing. It cost me 70€, and apparently I wasn't the first.

The owner was friendly and welcoming, and the bed was extremely comfortable. Our room had lots of charm. Staying overnight lets you experience the gorgeous castle in both daylight and at night, which is worth doing.

Breakfast on the patio was the perfect finishing touch. The hotel is small and lovely, with a really peaceful setting. The host is wonderful and clearly passionate, and enjoyed telling us about the building's history and refurbishment.

There are regular music concerts here, so take a look. It's a wonderful old castle with beautiful gardens.
