Being right by the Port Fréjus marina made it easy to stroll around, stop at cafés, or watch the boats. The area was quiet, and the common spaces had a calm, unfussy feel. Some rooms have sea views, and the staff were standard and professional. It can be good value if you get a sea-view rate and don't need much in the room. Parking was the main drawback: the hotel's few spaces weren't available during our stay, and nearby street parking was paid by the hour, hard to find, and complicated. The elevators were painfully slow, especially with luggage at check-in and checkout. Rooms have very few extras, and once you add parking or the time spent hunting for a space, the value isn't as good.

We had a great stay with our two kids, and everyone was happy. The pool was very clean, the staff were kind, and the beach is only about two minutes away. The hotel also supplies towels and beach umbrellas. Book a parking space when you reserve, because finding a place on the street can be difficult. We've already booked our 2026 holiday here. Merci Mercure Thalasso.

The staff were lovely and really helpful, though breakfast was just okay. The spa was the big letdown. You pay extra for it, and even then access is limited to either 10-13 or 15-18. To go in both the morning and evening, you'd have to pay twice. With the hotel's higher prices and its spa focus, I found that disappointing. I had assumed spa access came with the room. I also couldn't use the pool in brand new swim shorts. They insisted on briefs or tight-fitting swimwear for “hygiene reasons,” which didn't make sense to me since the shorts were clean and unworn. One of the lifts was out of order too, and that caused quite a problem.

I left feeling that the price was far too high for what you get, basically somewhere to sleep. Breakfast and spa access both cost extra, and I won't be back. In May 2025, the first impression from outside was nice, especially the revolving entrance door, but two of the three doors had holes where handles were missing. The receptionist was polite, professional, and almost always there. She spoke French very well, no Italian, and just a few words of English mixed with French, but we managed to communicate. The Accor site calls the hotel recently renovated, yet it felt dated and worn. There are two guest lifts, but one was being serviced and the other moved extremely slowly. At busy times around breakfast and the spa it was often full, and we sometimes waited up to ten minutes. Our room was clean and had a TV and kettle. The minibar held only two small milk cartons, with no bottled water or alcohol, which I'd expect in a four-star hotel. The bathroom was split into two parts, a tiny windowless toilet room and another area with a small sink and shower. I found two or three long hairs on the shower wall that weren't mine. Towels were clean, but there were no soap bars, shower caps, or usual toiletries, only wall dispensers at the sink and in the shower. Breakfast was €20 per person and felt really overpriced. There was one kind of croissant, fresh but plain, and the pain au chocolat was decent but had very little chocolate. No cakes, just pink-glazed donuts I didn't try, small cookies, and mini pastries. The scrambled eggs looked unappealing, and I didn't like the sausage, though that's subjective. There was no bacon. The orange juice was good but not freshly squeezed, and the machine cappuccino was just okay. There was no place in front to stop and load or unload luggage. A large free lot about 200 meters away can be hard to use because beachgoers park there too, while nearby paid spots are usually full.

We paid 115 Euro per person for a massage and spa, but left without having the treatment because of the way we were treated. The curly-haired French woman said my swimming shorts weren't allowed in the pool and that I had to buy special ones. She was extremely rude. When I tried to understand, she cut us off with, “you want or don’t want, we are busy!” No thanks. We definitely don't want that kind of service. The spa staff showed no respect, and this was the worst customer service in France for me.
