Ibis Budget Fresnes

We spent seven nights here with my wife back in February 2026. We’re both Algerian globe trotters and have visited Paris dozens of times. We always make sure to keep our hotel room clean and do the housework before heading out on our daily guided tours, but the housekeeper cleaned the room anyway. Breakfast was good enough, especially the freshly brewed coffee made by a lovely French Algerian lady. The best moment was checkout. We left the room at noon but didn't leave the hotel until 5pm. The property manager, whose name I unfortunately can't remember, was very kind. He helped us fix our broken luggage and get to the bus station 300 meters away. We didn't tip any staff. The service was ordinary, and the breakfast could use some work. My room was very tight, though that wasn't the hotel's worst issue. It needed more care, and I could smell smoke in there throughout my stay. I'd say the hotel isn't bad, but those things should be improved.

We had to stop over near Orly airport and had a really good stay. The staff were brilliant and helpful, and our room was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. I'd definitely recommend this place.

We booked this for a long weekend in Paris because we mostly needed a place to sleep between very late nights and early starts. It did the job for a budget trip. The train station is about a 15-minute walk away. The area felt a little sketchy, though I think that's genuinely down to a lack of funding, and the locals seemed friendly enough. We paid about €9 per person per day for the buffet breakfast. The staff were fairly friendly, and a gorgeous cat often wandered in and out of the hotel, which was a lovely surprise for a cat lover. The rooms were dated, with a dark grey paint job that seemed intended to make them look more modern. They felt quite dark, and the lights were in odd spots. The shower pressure was weak, which wasn't ideal after a long travel day. The TV remote only let us adjust the volume and change channels, with no way to select subtitles or see what was on. We put a Do Not Disturb sign on the door early in the morning, but someone still came in to clean. I was glad the rubbish was taken out, but that isn't what Do Not Disturb means. It also seemed odd that the drinking glasses were kept in the bathroom. Still, we got what we paid for. We weren't expecting anything fancy or luxurious, and it worked fine for tired travellers.
