La Ferme Des Vergnes

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the setting is beautiful, out in the middle of nowhere. There are small bungalows and mobile homes, plus lots of forest and an interesting cave nearby. Llamas and other animals live on the property. It’s an idyllic, varied place, good for families with children or anyone wanting to explore the area.

Isabelle and her husband welcomed our group of 20 warmly. We ranged in age from 6 to 89, and had a lovely family weekend with half-board. The setting among animals and nature was perfect for spending time together. I highly recommend it.

An Airbnb booking mistake left me urgently looking for a cottage for six, and she saved the road trip I’d planned. Communication was great, she was very kind, and I really enjoyed our chat. It’s a lovely farm in a beautiful setting, with animals you don’t necessarily see every day. We all had a great time. Thanks so much again, I highly recommend it!

We booked with a gift voucher and ended up adding two nights. The accommodations were clean and very well equipped, in a peaceful rural setting with animals around. The owners are lovely, and the evening meals were excellent, varied, and well prepared with local produce. It’s also well placed for visiting Brantôme, Périgueux, and Sarlat.
