Le Moulin Des Marais

The owner kindly went beyond the usual hotel service and drove me to a nearby supermarket when my luggage was delayed for a day. I’m especially grateful to the woman who prepared the swimming pool, too. I’d come all the way from Malaysia for a France business trip, and the owner and staff made it my happiest and most memorable trip to Europe. During the cold winter, they made the hotel feel so welcoming and warm. A beautiful place comes from nature, but also from the people in it. I promised the owner I’d write this review, though I kept putting it off. I hope everyone there stays healthy and happy, and keeps bringing joy to their guests. Thank you all!

We especially enjoyed lunch there, both the food and being able to sit outside. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the view from the lovely swimming pool was magnificent. Our room was clean, comfortable, and classy. The design throughout is simple and elegant, and we appreciated the small touches, like the tea soap and having hot drinks available by the pool and in our room. The staff were kind and professional. One thing that could be easier is leaving a comment for people who haven’t done it before. I wanted to, so I asked the hostel how, but most people might give up, which would be a shame for such a pleasant place to stay.

Getting there from the train station was really easy, which is a nice extra for Parisians planning a wedding. We went to friends’ wedding here and had such a good time. The setting and atmosphere were perfect for the occasion. The food and drinks were amazing, and the food was genuinely good, not the usual wedding party fare. The service and live music were the icing on the cake. Highly recommend this place, I can’t recommend it enough.

We’re glad we tried the restaurant after it was recommended while we were staying nearby. Our French isn’t great, but that wasn’t an issue at all since the staff were very kind and spoke excellent English. Thanks to Yoram and the team for a lovely evening. The food was brilliant.
