The restaurant made our stay at La Brèche de Roland in Gavarnie feel extra special. The mutton and duck were both full of flavor and cooked just right, and the pavlova with fresh orange and pink grapefruit cubes was a lovely, refreshing dessert. The service was warm and attentive, and the plates looked beautiful. Our room was comfortable too, with a breathtaking view of the mountains. The atmosphere felt elegant but still cozy. A memorable visit, and highly recommended for anyone in Gavarnie.

The staff we met were all friendly and very helpful. We only stayed one night in early September, but the clean room, comfortable bed, and fantastic views through the French doors made it a lovely stay.

We found the restaurant easily the best place to eat in the village. The hotel also worked really well as a base for hiking the Cirques, with very clean rooms and staff who were extremely helpful and nice.

From the terrace we had a great view of the Taillon peak. We went for the dinner menu on a Thursday in early July, and both the food and service were excellent.
