Appart'hotel Lido

The lake is a good place for families to enjoy, and the hotel is in a superb location. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the restaurant team were unfriendly and the service wasn't good. Our three person room was also very small and extremely hot, even with the standing fan.

You can see the lake beautifully from the bed, and there's a supermarket not too far away. The place is lovely and right beside the lake. The rooms feel a bit old and could use a refresh, though it wasn't an issue for me.

The desserts were a real highlight, both the way they looked and how they tasted. Dinner was enjoyable, especially with the sunset view and our feet in the sand. The menu had a nice a la carte selection alongside a seasonal one, and the plates were decorated beautifully. The food was above average for Vosges cuisine, though the sauces were a little salty. They didn't ask how we wanted the entrecote cooked, and our amuse was forgotten at first, but later they brought us two. They seem to be aiming for haute cuisine and get halfway there. Drinks service on the beach out front was really poor, though. They don't come to ask, so guests have to shout to get drinks.

The people working at the Lido were helpful and very pleasant to deal with. We spent a few nights there at the end of January 2022 with our two children. The apartments were very comfortable, and the location is beautiful. We'd highly recommend it and hope to return. :)
