Les Gerbes

The meals were a real highlight. On the first night we had two warm goat cheese salads, tuna steak, leg of lamb, and two chocolate fondants. The next evening brought a Périgord salad, ribeye, a very generous raclette, then chocolate fondant and blueberry tart. Breakfasts were generous too. We were a bit unsure about communal dining since we like having time to ourselves, but it worked out smoothly: we could eat separately and at our own pace, with our privacy respected. Our timid dog was made to feel at home, and we appreciated being given a separate table for some peace and quiet. The owners were always available if we had a question or request. The room was spacious, the bed huge, the toilet separate, and everything was very clean. The place is charming and welcoming. We came as a couple with a Valentine's Day Smartbox, and left with very fond memories. It's five minutes from Argelès-Gazost and around 30 minutes from the Hautacam ski resort. Rain was our one small disappointment, since it kept us from using the jacuzzi and enjoying the mountain views.

Being less than 10 minutes from the town center and wildlife park made it really convenient. We had a lovely two-night stay at the inn with a Smartbox gift voucher, and were very happy with it. The staff were welcoming and the servers attentive. We also enjoyed the restaurant. The food was excellent and homemade, with reasonable prices and good value. Saturday night's live concert added a nice bit of charm.

We found it hard to finish the generous meal, but they gave us boxes to take the cheese and dessert home. The starter was a delight, and the main course backed up our first impression, everything was very well prepared. We came for dinner with a gift box and were pleasantly surprised by the charming venue and the little band playing during the meal. We'd definitely recommend the place.

The spa and its mountain views were pure bliss, and breakfast had a generous mix of sweet and savory choices. Dinner was delicious too, especially the garbure, which my husband loved. The musical entertainment by 🎸the tri'ad 🎸 was a nice surprise. We stayed at Auberge des Gerbes in January 2026. After a short, reasonable wait, we got a pleasant, informal welcome and were shown to our room. It was spotless, with short-stay toiletries, clean linens, spa bathrobes, a kettle, and coffee and tea pods. The colorful decor in the room under the eaves was really tasteful, and the bedding met our expectations. We came in hoping for a wonderful time and had exactly that.
