Les Sources de Vougeot

Everything was good. The staff were kind, and the place was clean.

We stayed at Les Sources from 3-7 April 2026. The charming, beautiful place was a joy, and the resident goats were fun to play with. Breakfast was amazing and hard to resist, and the rooms were cosy and comfortable. Most of the team, from the Director down, were warm, welcoming, and helpful. A special thanks to Lou, Benjamin, Claudia, Claudine, Amelie, and Jules. Sorry I can't remember every name. Our one disappointment was the spa. Sabrina, the spa manager, wasn't welcoming, which felt out of character compared with the rest of our time at Les Sources. Even so, we’re giving five stars. The yoga class was a real highlight, a peaceful moment to unwind, and the spa was beautifully designed and so soothing I could have spent hours there. At the brasserie, we had delicious, generous food that was cooked just right, in a warm setting. Breakfast was incredible and not to be missed. Our stay at Les Sources de Vougeot will remain a fond memory. The magnificent renovation gives the property an elegant, calm, authentic feel, with thoughtful design throughout. It was a lovely pause before getting back on the road, and we left keen to return and enjoy more. I’d gladly stay again and recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere refined, relaxing, and inspiring.

The baths under the vaulted ceilings of the château's former wine cellar were stunning. In the evening, the lights and moving water reflected across the stone and created a magical, graceful moment. There’s a Caudalie Spa in a magnificent setting, and the renovation has brought a quiet, timeless luxury to the property. My sweetheart and I spent an enchanting weekend at this Château de Gilly-lès-Cîteaux, now called Les Sources de Vougeot. Alice and Jérôme Tourbier, who also own Château Smith Haut Lafitte in Bordeaux and Les Sources de Caudalie, which we know very well, have created something impressive here. The property has the spirit of Les Sources de Cheverny in the Loire and Les Sources de Caudalie in Bordeaux, right in the Côte de Nuits. The staff were exceptional. The concierge and reception team were incredibly attentive, and the bartender made our evening at the hotel bar unforgettable. Breakfast was sumptuous and featured exceptional local products. The park is magnificent too, and the place holds great promise for the coming spring. Alice and Jérôme have a rare gift for turning history into a charming retreat.
