Kyriad Lyon Sud - Givors

The receptionist gave us a warm welcome and was always helpful. We stayed two nights in February, and our room was warm, with no cold during the night. It had a bathroom, towels, a small bottle of mineral water, some sweets, and the option to make tea or coffee. The view was nice, parking was available, and it was close to the town centre. There’s a restaurant downstairs, with dinner served between 19h and 22h. Breakfast included coffee, tea, juice, a typical baguette, French pastry, jam, butter, charcuterie, and cereals. There was no gluten free bread.

There isn’t much to do in the area, and the hotel is in a somewhat remote spot. The gates and cameras make it feel fully secured. The staff are friendly and can speak quite some English. But we found hairs and stains on and in the bed, which was really not nice.

We stopped here overnight on our way north, looking to stay south of Lyon. The hotel is decent and functional, but overpriced for what it is. The room and bathroom were very small, and noise from the hallway and walls carried into the room. There were lots of little flies next to the window, and mold on the bathroom ceiling. The mattress was okay, on the soft side, and the pillows were comfortable. Plenty of towels were provided, along with water and coffee or tea in the room.

A nice hotel with a view, friendly service, good food, and clean surroundings. The beds are soft in a good way, so it was a pleasant stay. Take a morning stroll through the village before breakfast, maybe you’ll find a warm croisant!
