La Cour des Cloches

The rooms were clean and accessible, and the beds were excellent. We also had great breakfasts. Our family had a restful, welcoming stay at La Cour des Cloches, thanks in large part to our kind and fascinating hostess, Sylvie. We spent our much-needed post-Covid holiday there in August 2022. Sorry this review took so long to post. The Cognac/Charente region is beautiful, and staying here made the visit even better. We were delighted to find the place and would love to return soon. We stayed with our two children and will definitely come back. It's an authentic bed and breakfast in an old former cognac distillery, in a great part of Cognac. The rooms, pool and breakfast were all great.

Sylvia is so lovely and helpful, always ready to do more for you. The setting is peaceful and relaxed, almost right among the vines. It's a lovely old cognac house, and the dining room and bar still have the old press and copper stills around. Breakfast was fresh, there's a trust bar, and there's a lovely pool. What more could you want from life? A+++++ 😊

The old farm and some of its equipment are still there, which adds to the charm. It's easy to get to nice cities like Congnac, and the hostess is very accommodating. She even baked a birthday cake for a friend of mine. Families in particular should enjoy it: there's a pool, dart target, table-tennis plate and other equipment, so you won't get bored. Adults also have a well-equipped bar. It's a very nice place in a beautiful area. If I could, I'd give it 6 out of 5 stars 😂😇
