Bacchus en Luberon

The apartment was terribly cold, especially the bathroom and living room, and the radiators weren’t adequate. Breakfast was plentiful, and the setting is magnificent. We were welcomed warmly, though we didn’t see much of the owners. That was no problem for us.

We especially remember having an aperitif beside the secluded stone pool, pure bliss. Gordes was peaceful and tranquil during our stay, with a sublime view among the olive groves and a charming, typical building. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly, knew the region and its wines very well, and were happy to point us toward bucolic walks. Highly recommended for anyone who loves the Luberon and its surroundings!

For our honeymoon we found “Bacchus en Luberon,” and what a lovely surprise it was. Sandrine and Gilles were simply perfect hosts. The place near Gordes is beautiful, spotless and peaceful, with a real sense of hospitality. Their passion for wine was a big plus for us, and we’re still grateful for that delicious memory of the Condrieu. This family creates a warm, professional atmosphere in a relaxed, easygoing way, always with a smile. You can stay with complete confidence, but bring a discerning palate. The setting is beautiful, and the owners are very kind, but they seemed overwhelmed. The place was dirty and poorly maintained. The pool had no filtration and opaque water, while the jacuzzi was full of mosquito larvae. There didn’t seem to be money for decor or upkeep, and the utensils provided weren’t enough for a full rental of the house. Hospitality is a profession. Too bad that with Airbnb, everyone is improvising!
