La chaumière

The breakfast was superb, and the owners later turned out to be very kind, offering helpful sightseeing tips and taking good care of guests. They were a little reserved at first, apparently because other guests had been rude. We stayed over the weekend of June 10th in a lovely, private room in a beautiful, typically styled house, tastefully decorated and set in a large garden. It felt like a little slice of paradise for traditional people! The only small drawback was the extra charge to use the outdoor spa. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will be back. At €100, it still feels too expensive. The pool and jacuzzi seemed more decorative than useful, and in May nothing was accessible or heated, even though the prices stay the same. The room was old-fashioned, the skylights were in poor condition, and the mirror was so small it seemed made for dwarves. Breakfast was very basic. It feels a bit too easy to make money!
