Le clos de la prairie

After a long drive, the quiet evening was just what we needed. There wasn't much to do in the small village, so we enjoyed our room and meal, chatted with the helpful chef and his partner, and spent a couple of hours talking with another guest. We stayed on a Sunday night in June. Since we're vegetarian, we spoke with the chef, who said he was good with vegetables. Around 7:30 pm, we had a amuse bouche, then a delicious main course of prepared vegetables in sauce, followed by a super dessert. At 48 euros per person it was a bit over our budget, but the food was great. The room was well appointed and had a sitting-out area overlooking the countryside. Thanks to the owners for making our stay enjoyable!

The hosts were lovely and welcoming, with plenty of information about the area. We had a beautiful view from our room and a private balcony. The room had air conditioning, soft pillows, and blackout shades, and we slept really well. The food was expensive too, but we thought it was incredible and worth every penny. We ate a delicious meal on the patio while watching the sunset. Everything was to a high standard, and the atmosphere was lovely. It isn't a cheap hotel, but it's easily the nicest place we've stayed on this holiday. I couldn't recommend the hotel and restaurant highly enough!

The couple who own and run this place are what make it exceptional. I can't thank them enough. I rarely give the top rating, but I can't think of anything that could have improved our stay. It's a perfect hotel for a quiet vacation, about 2-3 hours from Paris, London, and Brussels. The rooms are large, with big glass doors that bring the beautiful countryside right inside. The modern shower room is spacious and functional, and there's a great restaurant on site serving breakfast and dinner.

A charming, simple, smart hotel with fabulous food. Sabine and Sébastien gave us an incredibly warm and friendly welcome. They were fun and clearly wanted us to have a great stay. We stayed one night to break up the drive back to Calais. Dinner was outstanding. The menu was simple, with two choices for each course and lobster as an alternative. For 55 euros we had an appetiser, an amuse bouche, a starter, a main, sorbet, and dessert. Everything was beautifully presented and exceptional quality, a meal worthy of a Michelin star. Chapeau!
