Suite & Spa La Perla Bianca

Breakfast was a real highlight, delicious each morning and brought at just the right time. The whole setting is beautiful, quiet, and cared for, so it was easy to relax. We felt warmly welcomed throughout, and everything seemed arranged with our comfort in mind. We’d gladly come back and recommend it to anyone wanting a restful getaway.

The welcome was the one part we had no complaint about. The woman who greeted us was lovely and helpful both on the phone and in person. We were a couple staying in La Perla Bianca, the suite of the same name and the hotel's most expensive room, at €226 per night including fees. The breakfast was underwhelming for that price: a little bread, two tiny jars of jam, two small portions of butter, and 50 cl of milk. There was granola too, but its lid didn't work, so the jar wasn't airtight. There were also lots of maintenance and comfort problems. The shower drain was partly blocked and water built up quickly, so we had to keep our showers short. The toilet bowl was broken and tilted to the right, as if it might come loose, and it kept refilling about every ten minutes overnight, making constant noise. The curtains didn't block the light, so sunrise was sure to wake us. One living room shutter couldn't be used because its latch was broken. By morning the jacuzzi had stopped working, and we couldn't use it again before leaving. The living room TV was poorly secured and leaning sharply to the right, as though it could fall. The remote batteries were dead, so we had to swap batteries with other devices. Most of the decorative LED candles were dead too. When we picked one up, there was a cigarette and ash in its container, which made us question the overall cleanliness. The suite was quite humid around the jacuzzi and shower, and a strong chlorine smell lingered in the living room. The French doors and bedroom door were very hard to open and close. At first glance, the place looks lovely, nicely decorated, and pleasant. Once we were there, though, the number of upkeep and service issues became clear. The suite has potential, but at €226 a night we expected a much higher standard and more attention to detail. They should either lower the price or fix these problems so the experience matches what they're charging.

We tried two rooms and had no complaints about either one, both were perfect. They’re beautiful, clean, and smell lovely, with everything set up for a good night’s sleep or a relaxing stay. Caroline’s kindness and the warm welcome made it even nicer. A thousand thanks to her for this lovely place. We didn’t want to leave.

The setting was beautiful, and the host was so friendly, welcoming, and flexible that we felt really special. In the morning, she brought us fresh bread and pastries for breakfast. We had a great time and would gladly come back.
