The room was basic, but it did the job and had a great view. We had a couple of drinks at the bar while waiting for check-in, which is a bit later than most places. One thing for the owners: the TV bracket blocked the HDMI port, so we couldn’t use our Fire Stick and had no TV. The remote also wouldn’t turn on the English dub or subtitles. Still, it worked well as a stop before the port, and I’d recommend it and stay again before catching the ferry.

The hotel itself was nice and good value, but the music downstairs was REALLY loud while I was there. I stayed 21 Jun – 22 Jun 2019, and honestly, I don’t think rooms should have been sold with that kind of party going on. Breakfast also felt a little pricey, though I was probably just annoyed after a bad night’s sleep. I know they might not usually have loud music, and it may not happen when you visit, but it definitely happened during my stay.

We stayed in two rooms. The one at the back overlooked the yard and was quiet and comfortable, while the front room had sea views and a really comfortable bed. Both had good showers: the back one was big enough for my 6ft3 husband with plenty of hot water, and the front one had just one small step into the toilet area. The owners run the hotel, with a bar and restaurant serving simple but tasty meals. In summer, there’s outdoor seating overlooking the river and beaches. The place is simple, clean, modern, and easy to find with Sat Nav, with white decor and seascapes by a local artist. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitely come back.

I enjoyed my one-night stay. The owner and his wife were really friendly, and the view from my room was great. The room was a bit small, but functional and clean, and the shower was fine. I just wish I understood more French.
