The pool is small but clean, and the water feels just right. Each apartment has its own parking space, though parking still costs €10 per night. We paid for all four nights, while in many places with parking meters we would only have been charged for three days. Without the parking cost, this would have been five stars.

The room was spotless and roomy, with a living area and a small kitchenette. Check-in was quick, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed in June to visit the D-Day sites, and the location worked well as a central base. As other guests have mentioned, an electric car charger would be useful, since there’s only one in the city.

The breakfast was quite good, and the location is close to restaurants and historic sites. The room was also huge, with two bedrooms, a living room with a table and six chairs, a futon, a full kitchen, and a three-quarter bathroom. Those are the reasons for the two stars. I was on a group tour and had no say in the accommodation, and if I return to Normandy, I’ll stay somewhere else. There were three heating and cooling units, but none worked. I wouldn’t even call them AC. When we arrived, the only way to cool the room was to open all the windows and the back door, which opened onto nowhere, with no balcony. There were no screens, so insects could come in. Our room was on the third floor, and there’s no elevator. The pool was closed, too. The place needs a lot of repairs and maintenance, and it wasn’t as clean as it should have been. If you want quiet, avoid a room on the west side. A large family entertainment center next door stays open quite late.

We spent five days at Adonis Grandcamp Daisy, with two families: three adults, four teenagers, and a nine-year-old. The accommodation was very clean, well equipped, and felt safe. Breakfast is worth having, and the location is great for visiting World War 2 sites. The town has plenty of restaurants and bars, plus markets on Sunday morning and evening. I’d recommend booking restaurants ahead. Denise, Ireland 🇮🇪.

The village is quaint, and fresh fish comes in each morning for you to buy. It was wonderful and delicious. We didn’t realize shops close around 2:30 and reopen at 4:00 or 5:00, so we missed the tourist items we’d seen in a window and planned to buy on our way back. The accessible room has a shower chair, but the roll-in shower lets water run out into the living room. They provide a large squeegee to push it back, though I’d use a couple of towels to keep water from going past the bathroom door. The heated pool is great for a family stay, and the beach is just minutes away. Management was very helpful. We thought we had booked a hotel in Bayeux, but getting back there by taxi would cost either 100 or 60 euros, depending on the taxi. There are no taxis or Ubers available, so going into town means walking a mile each way. We’d definitely come back for a weekend by the shore.
