The bar and snack area has a great view over Granville harbour, and the entrance price is reasonable. The visit works well with kids and doesn't take too long. They get a sheet with photos to find across the four different exhibits of the Roc design Harmonies.

The views from the top of the cliffs are lovely. It's a shame the gun emplacements have all been blocked up, so some can't be visited inside.

This little museum held our attention far longer than I expected. The kids got really into the butterflies, “bugs” and beetles, and enjoyed hunting for the items listed in the short guide, just one double-sided A4 page. There were a few fish too, which excited them for some reason. The mineral and shell collection is large and beautiful, and the things made from them are honestly astounding.

It's not far from a free car park, and there's a decent-sized coastal outpost from the war about 200m away. The aquarium itself is a decent size with plenty to see, but the tour also has lots of other things, from shell sculptures to semi-precious gem displays, sculptures and insect collections. Countless hours must have gone into the place. Definitely worth a visit.

A very odd experience, but still well worth visiting. It's not much of an aquarium. My one concern was seeing the fish eating some of the polystyrene “rocks” in their tanks.
