The grounds are spectacular, with flowers, trees and butterflies everywhere, and the two pools are fantastic. There are only five spacious suites, so it often feels as if you have the place to yourselves. The food is authentically Provençal, and the homemade mirabelle plum and lemon jams were out of this world. Valerie and Paul are warm, charming hosts who make sure you feel at home. They both speak excellent English, and Paul is completely fluent. My wife, who was born in NYC, and I, born in Paris, had an amazing three-night stay at La Cascade Parfumée. We’re picky, experienced travelers and rarely write reviews, but this place deserved one. The domaine is even more delightful with Zebulette’s furry silhouette chasing bees around the flower beds. If you’re lucky enough to be there while Clovis, the hosts’ son in his early twenties, is visiting, there may be a musical treat: he plays the concert piano on the second floor like no other and shares his love of Rachmaninov, Chopin, Ravel and other piano greats. A magical place that looks beautiful, smells beautiful and tastes beautiful. Understated luxury and authenticity, all in one. Enjoy a once-in-a-lifetime stay!

Each room has its own story, and every detail feels carefully chosen. Even the sink and toilet are antique, handcrafted works of art. The owners have designed and made the place with such care, and welcomed us personally with real warmth and kindness. The whole villa feels like a fairytale and a trip back in time, where authenticity and elegance come together. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and there’s a small private museum that’s well worth a visit. The food was fresh, delicious and mostly homemade. With my sensitive, reactive stomach, that was a big plus. Dinner felt cozy and charming. I had a wonderful stay at Domaine de la Cascade Parfumée and would recommend it to anyone after a unique, soulful, refined experience. ❤️

The hosts put so much heart into the house and gardens, and their hospitality made us feel part of the story. The peaceful surroundings, organic produce from the garden and the calm of the Côte d’Azur made it an ideal spot to unwind. We had an incredible stay at Domaine de la Cascade Parfumée in Grasse, the world’s perfume capital on the Côte d’Azur. Every corner of the charming bastide has a story to tell. It keeps its old Provençal soul while feeling fresh, elegant and modern after careful renovation. From the rooms to the smallest details, the whole place breathes history and love. I can’t recommend a stay here enough if you’re visiting the South of France. It’s an experience of history, nature and pure relaxation.

That five-course dinner and brunch were absolutely worth choosing. Paul and Valerie made the meal from produce in their garden, and even showed us how to prepare a local dish. They’re friendly and clearly love the land. The rooms are lovely, with antique or vintage furniture. Outside there are two pools, a huge garden, and shady spots to sit; indoors, a pool table and lounge area. We had such a peaceful stay here. Paradise, really.

We eventually had to leave and find somewhere else to stay. The proprietors refused to discuss the problems, insisted on full payment, and seemed genuinely surprised that we expected the place to match its advertising. The online photos suggested charm and elegance, but the property we found was shabby and unfinished, like a renovation project gone wrong. The bathroom was large in an institutional way, with painted concrete instead of the tiled floor shown in the pictures. Outside, there was cheap gravel, weeds, and old brushes, rollers, tools, and other junk left lying around. The advertised services weren't available. The “staff” hardly seemed to exist as a functioning team, and we mostly got repeated requests for extra fees. The proprietors seemed out of their depth with hospitality standards. The surrounding area was shabby and unremarkable, far from the best France has to offer. If you're after charm, comfort, or basic honesty, look elsewhere. At the very least, bring a tent in case you need it.
