I called to ask about the parking height limit while trying to book this hotel on our way through France toward northern Europe. I asked the man who answered if he spoke English, since I speak English or Spanish, not French, and neither is my native language. He just said “NO” rudely and hung up. We definitely won't book.

The hotel is well placed for the medieval walled town of Gravelines and the beach. We had a great stay: our room was huge, clean and comfortable, and the staff were warm, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was simple but plentiful, with fresh orange juice.

There’s a pleasant courtyard garden for guests, and plenty of free parking on site. Breakfast is a standard continental spread with fresh pastries, machine coffee ground fresh, and freshly squeezed juice if you like. The setting is quiet and the staff are helpful and friendly. Rooms are small but practical, and the bathroom was small too. The bed was comfortable, and the single pillow was just the right shape and size.

We stayed in triple room no 11 during our drive from the UK to Poland, and it was just what we needed for a break. The hotel was clean and quiet, with friendly staff, comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom. I'd happily stay again.

They welcomed us despite our booking just two hours ahead, and made the dogs feel welcome too. We were given a larger room. Breakfast was the letdown: no tea bags were left, so I had to bring my own breakfast tea, and the continental selection could have been better. Still, we were very happy overall.
