L'Auberge d'Hélène Grenoble Centre

I found the lounge especially interesting, with its seats, paintings, and even the ceilings. The staff are lovely, and the hotel is comfortable, with plenty of amenities nearby. It's also well placed for enjoying Grenoble's nightlife. I didn't try the food, but I'd definitely recommend staying here.

The shared room was good value and came with access to a well-equipped, well-maintained kitchen for preparing your own food. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the Wi-Fi was free. My room and bathroom were clean, and I loved the atmosphere in the hall, with its elegant 18th-century French-style furnishings. It's near the city center. The reception staff were relaxed and helpful, and he spoke good English 🙂. The hotel is well connected by tram and bus, though Polygon Scientific is a 40-minute walk away. I loved the interior, which reminded me of an old palace. I'd happily come back again and again.

The bed was comfortable, and the pillows were great. My stay was okay, though some staff had trouble speaking English, which made it hard to explain my concern about the room furniture being eaten by wood-boring bugs. Breakfast is described as homemade, but I didn't think it was worth the price. The pancakes were great, but some of the jams smelled off.
