The views were the highlight for us. You can wake up in bed and look out at the mountains all around, and the hotel itself feels calm and pleasant. We were close enough to walk into the charming city centre, and breakfast was simple but very nice. Reception was excellent when we arrived, and we had a lovely night there. One thing did disappoint the children. The friendly female receptionist told us the pool would be okay to use in the morning, although it was officially open only in the afternoon. The next day, the male manager was unfriendly and said using it then was out of the question. That put a bit of a dent in the otherwise peaceful atmosphere.

The town has a few amenities, and its restaurants are very good. The hotel is nicely placed in this spa village, including for visiting the lavender fields of Valensole. It provides good services, though the rooms could use some renovation.

The hotel was nice. The restaurant, though, was horrible.
