Les Hauts De Greoux

The apartment was dark, the terrace was filthy, the hallways were poorly lit, and the pool has apparently been out of service for years, even as the price has gone up. We arrived 30 minutes before our scheduled check-in and were kept waiting while staff tried to find out whether the apartment was ready. We expected better service. Avoid at all costs.

We spent a week here, and the staff were really friendly and helpful. The pool was very good, and the deckchair was perfect for me. My studio was a little old, but the bedding was perfect and it had everything needed to eat in or outside. It’s a good 15-minute walk to the village, which suited us well. One thing to know: there’s no reception at the residence, so pick up the key at the Borghese hotel. I didn’t have trouble with this, but other people did 😋🤪 😊👍

We arrived on Monday to find the hallway to the studios covered in moisture worms. You couldn’t get past without crushing them, and it took three days for anyone to sweep the hall. They were on our balcony too. It felt like a real infestation and showed a lack of maintenance. The studio was tiny for a family of three, and on a rainy day it was especially hard to move around without getting in each other’s way. The furniture was very old, and the sofa bed was stained and uncomfortable. The unheated pool was colder than Lake Sainte Croix!!!! The residence is quiet, but at this price the amenities aren’t enough. A proper renovation, regular care of the shared areas, and a genuinely heated pool would make the price feel justified.

It’s a small, quiet residence with a pool, and the city center is only 10-15 minutes away on foot. The studios feel like they need renovating, and the soundproofing is poor enough that you can easily hear the neighbors. We only had two knives. I also hadn’t noticed when booking that we were expected to clean before leaving, so the price feels a bit high for what’s provided.
