Breakfast had fresh local pastries, granola, yogurt and fruit, and felt like exceptional value for the price. Maison Saffores was sparkling clean, and its elegance was clear as soon as we drove into the courtyard. Katrin and Mark were excellent hosts.

The breakfast was stunning, and we felt like kings from the moment we were welcomed. We stayed just one night with Katryn and Mark because their hotel is very close to the route de Vézelay, a route towards Santiago de Compostela. It's a breathtaking house, with a lovely garden, wonderful rooms and balconies. We couldn't have asked for a better place and hope to return someday.

I slept so well for two uninterrupted nights, with virtually no noise from the road or neighboring rooms. The Jacques Cousteau room was simple, spacious and bright, with a comfortable four-poster bed and en-suite bathroom. The chambre faced the garden and was spotlessly clean. Maison Saffores is a beautiful old property near Sauveterre-de-Bearn, lovingly restored and maintained. The bright house has the same charm as its owners, Katrin and Mark. Their care for guests' comfort and well-being, and their attention to detail, were clear from the moment I arrived. It feels like a home well loved by owners and guests alike. I look forward to staying again. Uninterrupted rest can be hard to find in France in summer.

I joined my wife for a night at Maison Saffores in July. The property and grounds were in impeccable condition, and the room won me over too. Even in the day's heat, it stayed cool, quiet and comfortable. Thanks to the hosts for such a warm welcome.
