We only stopped for a couple of nights while driving around Corse on the way to Corte, but I’d go back every time if we return. It was about ten years ago for our honeymoon, and we had such a great stay. Really glad to see the place is still going strong and people still love it.

Jean Marie and his wife are what made our stay memorable. He’s passionate about his region and happy to help put together an itinerary if you’re there to hike. The food was excellent, locally sourced and prepared by Jean Marie, with portions big enough to leave you wanting a walk afterward. We spent two nights at Zella and wished we’d stayed longer. The whole place has charm and a lovely view. See you soon, boss.

Jean-Marie was a wonderful host and shared some great recommendations. We loved the excellent breakfast, especially the fresh strawberries from the garden. The little hotel sits amid beautiful nature, with breathtaking views from both the terrace and the rooms. We had a fantastic stay and are already looking forward to coming back.

The food was the highlight for us. The quality of the ingredients really came through, and the charcuterie corse was unlike any we’d had before. The setting is very remote, with about half a mile of dirt road to reach it, and our room had a calm, thoughtful feel to its decor. Jean Marie and his wife were very helpful. Ask them about local walks and you can discover Corsica as it was 150 years ago. The plateau des cochons hike to the "piscine" is a must. There’s a reason it’s called "Ile de beauté". This place belongs on your itinerary if you want somewhere authentic and honest, far from tourist spots. Highly, highly recommended!

The view, the room, the food, and the boss were all great. There are plenty of reasons to recommend this place, so don’t hesitate to book a room or a table. There’s also a thermal spring nearby that’s free.
