ibis Styles Arcachon Gujan Mestras

I came back for a week after spending two months here two years ago. It was lovely seeing three of the same team members again, along with three new people who were just as friendly and professional. The staff are approachable, consistently kind, and never seem flustered. It's hard to choose one over another. They really give the hotel its atmosphere and character. The owner and his wife seem to have a knack for hiring such good people, which plenty of hotels and airlines seem to have lost. Thanks for a lovely stay, and for taking care of my dog Luna.

You'll need a car to go into town for dinner, since it's too far to walk. The hotel is handy for the main road towards pyla/Bordeaux, though. Our room was spotless and comfortable, with a balcony and great air conditioning. The pool area was clean and well maintained, and breakfast was good.

I wouldn't trust this hotel. After I made and paid for a reservation, they cancelled it when a more interesting group came along. I'm a Gold member of their ALL loyalty card, too. Avoid it.

The carpet had a really awful smell, and the room itself was dirty and smelly. There were hairs on the bathroom floor, which was disgusting, and the only table in the room was really dirty too. I don't think this meets ibis styles standards. They could do much better. Zero stars.
