The restaurant served good food made with high-quality ingredients, and the staff were nice. I also liked the lovely cat. My room was spacious and faced the woods. Just keep in mind there’s no air conditioning anywhere in the hotel, which could be uncomfortable during the extreme heat that affects about 5% of the year.

The hotel and its setting were beautiful, and the room was very clean. My family and I stayed for one night while travelling through the country, and for the price, it was an okay experience, though nothing special. The room had a few problems: there was no sink by the toilet, so we had to go to the bathroom to wash our hands, and the toilet fuse blew. The bathtub was very slippery and felt like a safety concern. The television also didn’t work even though it was plugged in.

The staff were polite and knowledgeable, and the location was pleasant, away from the village, with a nice backyard. The nearby main city has everything, though watch out for the road bumps, especially if you’re driving a low car. We didn’t try the restaurant. We spent one night in Junior Suite(206). The toilet was really small. More concerning, the room didn’t seem to have been cleaned in a long time: there were spiderwebs on the high ceiling and a dead spider hanging in the toilet. It also needs repairs, with black mold and a rotten bathroom cabinet, plus water damage by the velux window. The hotel is nice overall, but needs a proper fresh-up before the main season.

The countryside around the hotel is lovely, and the rooms were tidy with comfortable beds. We had booked for four people but were given a room with only three beds, and the staff didn’t seem to know about our booking when we arrived. It was also hard to find anyone to help because we happened to arrive during their staff soiree. For an upmarket hotel, the service didn’t match the price. Looking back, we were unlucky with our timing, and there weren’t many nearby hotels of similar quality.
