An exceptional cottage! It’s spacious and perfect for family holidays! Set in the forest, it’s ideal for anyone who enjoys rustic charm and a pastoral setting by the river. The fireplace, full set of utensils, and appliances are an added bonus. Everything you could need is there! Thank you for the Christmas tree! The owners are warm, friendly, and welcoming.

A lovely cottage for summer, with a beautiful garden and veranda. It’s very spacious and has a well-equipped kitchen. The decor is a little dated, but that doesn’t bother us. The beds are excellent, and the Wi-Fi is decent. There’s a good TV with all the French channels, of course. Bring an HDMI cable and you can stream from your laptop or use Chromecast. The owners are very friendly and happy to help with anything, while also respecting your privacy. Bring a fly swatter and some Deet. The beautiful countryside is perfect for cycling and walking. In this part of France, people usually speak decent German and a little English, and they’ll do their best to help. There aren’t many tourists either, mostly a few Germans and Dutch visitors. Bitche is a great place to shop. Visiting the Bitche garden with children is fun, and the lake at Haspelschiedt is great for swimming. Strasbourg is a beautiful city to visit, though it’s very touristy.
