There’s no food available on site, and it’s quite far out. Fine if you’re after some peace and quiet.

That history-filled chat with the family’s grandfather was a lovely moment, and his smile and kind words really stayed with us. We also had a nice fireplace, though there could’ve been more wood, and the heat didn’t seem to reach the living room. Bring your own salt and pepper if you’re planning to cook. The rooms at Haras keep their charm tucked away, and the place can be a little hard to find depending on which way you come. It’s surrounded by greenery, peaceful and pleasant, and just a few minutes from Thoiry, which makes it great for a family outing. We enjoyed it so much that we might come back for our next family reunion.
We had a lovely evening with our friends, but we won’t recommend this guesthouse. The house looks beautiful from the outside, though the inside is very basic, and the owner was awful on the phone. We never met him in person. The dog woke us whenever a car passed. The dishes weren’t very clean, and there were only two teaspoons for four adults and two children. Darker curtains would help keep out the early morning light. The windows also need safety railings, since leaving them open with children in the room felt too dangerous. We were also upset by last-minute reservation changes made without consulting us, even though we’d agreed on a solution months earlier. We would’ve appreciated being notified and called back as requested. Instead, we found out by chance, then got hung up on the day before arriving. A bit more hospitality would help the business in the long run. Best of luck.
I travel a lot and haven’t experienced service like this elsewhere. The welcome is fantastic every time, and the staff are incredibly helpful and available. The rooms are welcoming and spotless, and the guesthouse sits in a peaceful, green setting. I’ve spent three nights a week here for the past four years and have always had a wonderful time. Thanks for everything, see you soon! ;)
The welcome was just average, and the staff weren’t very friendly. The bed frame was propped up on cinder blocks, and cleanliness left a lot to be desired. There weren’t enough dishes for everyone either. The boiler was broken, and the space heaters scattered around couldn’t get the room above 18 degrees Celsius. By the next morning, there was no hot water.
