Les Taouleres

The rooms are spacious, beautiful, and clean, and you can even take home a few little souvenirs from the garden. This is a magical escape at "Les Talouères," tucked into the Landes in a white house with blue shutters against the hillside. There’s a rustic, bucolic garden, a little souvenir shed, and a lovely pool. The hosts make you feel at ease right away. Guy is like a magician, always coming up with places to go and things to do, and Gisèle charms you each morning with her sweet voice and the delicious smell of breakfast. Go for it!!

I really enjoyed the conversations after dinner at La Pasta restaurant, and I’ll definitely return when I get the chance. Gisèle and Guy were so friendly and attentive, and their warm welcome included a drink on arrival, which is always appreciated. Everything was impeccably clean and beautifully decorated. It was a lovely meeting. Thank you for your kindness!

It’s a little outside the village, but being so close to a motorway exit makes this a very convenient stopover. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless, and breakfast was generous. The owners greeted us warmly with a welcome drink, a lovely touch that’s becoming quite rare and deserves a mention. I highly recommend this place.

The one drawback is the humidity in the bedrooms at night and in the morning. They’re on the garden level, and that oceanic climate in the Landes makes this a poor choice if you suffer from rheumatism, even though the house itself is perfectly sound. Otherwise, it’s a leafy setting with a perfectly maintained house and genuinely charming hosts. Breakfast comes with fruit from the garden, homemade jams, and other specialties, and the value for money is excellent.
