The food was a big part of why we loved our stay. The breakfast was excellent, and the place is also a gastronomic restaurant. At lunch on the weekend, the three-course menu was 38 euros, with luxurious, delicious French cooking. The kids' menu was 12 euros. We booked at the last minute, and the host was really nice and helpful. Our room was clean and modest, just right for our family, and our dog was welcome too. We'd absolutely come back.

That dessert really surprised us. It had fruit gelatin at the bottom, chocolate mousse in the middle, and cream with a little fruit decoration on top. We loved it. The three-course meal was 16 euros and full of surprises. The starter was beautifully prepared with high-quality ingredients, and both the taste and presentation were very good. The main course was all right. My husband and I had been hiking in the nearby mountains before stopping for lunch at the hotel restaurant Le Val d'Amby. We were surprised to learn it was one of "Les Toques Blanches Lyonnais". We'll definitely come back again and again.

The gourmet restaurant inside the hotel is a real draw. The location is great too. If you're in the Lyon area, please have dinner here.

We slept really well in the very comfortable beds, and the food was excellent. It's a nice, clean, cosy and quiet place in a medieval town. The staff were helpful and communicative, and there was somewhere to store our bikes overnight.

You'll pay more than at an average restaurant, but the food is better. Very good French cooking with excellent ingredients.
