We had a good pizza at a restaurant just up the right-hand side from the church entrance, though I can't remember its name. The food here is excellent, and the village has plenty of little restaurants and shops to wander around. My friend says his ancestors sailed away from the town church in the 15th or 16th century. It's apparently France's largest wooden church, and an impressive one. A lovely little port by the sea, with lots to see and do.

We only had a day here while on a cruise, but there's plenty to see, especially Eglise Sainte Catherine and Chappelle Notre Dame de Grace, where you can hear the bells. We also sat with a drink overlooking Le Vieux Bassin and enjoyed oysters, whelks and king prawns. It's a very pretty place and well worth a visit.

From Mont Joli, about a ten-minute walk from the port, you get an amazing view over the city. Down by the water, the port is beautiful, with plenty of nice shops and restaurants. Saint Catherine church is quite original, and the city is full of charm. A gorgeous, lively place.

The Saturday morning market is worth catching, and there's an interesting wooden church right in the center. Around the marina, the buildings are lovely and there's a lot to see, from art galleries and cafes to restaurants and souvenir shops. Such a pretty, delightful town.

Our guide knew Honfleur really well and told us a lot about its history. It's a beautiful town, and there are plenty of lovely art galleries to browse too.
