Just a couple of minutes from the marina, this little Honfleur room was a lovely find. Our host was accommodating and suggested places to eat, and there’s free street parking about 200m up the hill. The bed was comfy, the shower nice and hot, and there were little chocolates waiting for us. We’ll recommend it to others.

The location in Honfleur was very handy, and we were greeted so warmly. We stayed in the small ground-floor room, which was nicely decorated, practical, and clean, with a comfortable bed. Thanks for the madeleines and chocolates. Just a small thing: the tea bags couldn’t be used.

The owners were so kind and flexible, and the room itself is a lovely romantic spot for a couple, right in a great location. It has pretty decor, a mini-fridge, a separate toilet, and a bathroom with a large shower and several jets. You can hear people walking past, though there isn’t much traffic in the evening, so it didn’t bother us. It may be worth considering in summer. There are no blackout curtains, but the room has a cozy feel. We’ll be back!

Daniela was so thoughtful and lovely, and gave us a very warm welcome. Since our dog wasn’t comfortable with stairs, as it turned out, she put us in a ground-floor room. We really appreciated the pleasant stay.

We’ve stayed at Le Bois Normand three times now and have always been very happy. It’s right in old Honfleur, 50 meters from the old port and close to the little shopping streets and restaurants. Daniela, the owner, is friendly, and the rooms are cozy and clean. This time we chose the duplex, which is pretty and pleasant, with views over the rooftops and the Normandy Bridge, plus a small fridge if you need one. The one drawback is the tiny shower room: it takes some maneuvering to sit comfortably on the toilet. I’m only 1.65m tall, so I wouldn’t suggest that room for taller people. The other rooms are fine.
