Lunch started well. A kind, helpful gentleman took our order, and he was the only person who spoke English. But as we were leaving, our kids accidentally dropped a small piece of mussel shell. We picked it up right away and apologized. A woman cleaning the table kept glaring angrily at the children, which scared them, and continued speaking French to us while other customers looked over. I can only assume she was saying something nasty to embarrass us. I've never encountered such a horrible waitress. She was rude to the kids over a tiny shell even after we apologized. This restaurant isn't kid-friendly with her there. She spoiled what had started as a good lunch and the whole experience was unacceptable.

Most of the well-rated restaurants around town were full today, so we took a chance on this one. The seafood dishes were fresh and tasted good. The food was generally good, and the service was satisfactory.

The staff were helpful throughout, including finding parking for our motorbikes. The hotel is right in the centre of Honfleur, and our room was just what we wanted. Breakfast was good, and there's a great bar opposite for a late-night drink.

Booking.com said parking was free, but we had to use a public lot that cost €25 a day. Then the hotel charged us another €5 tax for nothing. The staff were so unfriendly, and the stairs up were tiny. Omg, never booking again.

The wine was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed the meal and would recommend it. We had an excellent early-evening dinner: the fillet mignon and my burger were both cooked very well, and came with plenty of fries.
