Hôtel Entre Terre et Mer

We realized on arrival that we'd reserved the room for the wrong dates through a booking platform. The booking was for three days after our actual arrival, and we still don't know whether it was our mistake or a system error. The manager confirmed the incorrect booking in person and said he couldn't help cancel it or waive the 100% cancellation fee because the platform managed those matters. We contacted the platform, which said the fee could be waived if the hotel agreed. We asked the manager to approve that, but a day later he rejected the request through the platform, saying the cancellation terms had been clear. We're disappointed that he said in person he couldn't do anything, then declined our request online, especially during high season when Honfleur hotels are in high demand.

We booked the wrong dates, though we're unsure whether it was our mistake or a system error with the booking platform. The hotel had more than 72 hours to find another guest for the incorrect booking during the high demand summer vacation period, but still refused to waive the cancellation fee. We found the response very unreasonable and expected more from a business in hospitality.

The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the location was excellent. There are interesting rooms, a very good continental breakfast, and a wonderful bistro on site. The restaurant across the road is even better. Highly recommended.

The staff were friendly, and the room was really comfortable. Shops and restaurants are right nearby too. This was my second time staying here.
