Le Rituel Hotel & Spa

We had a wonderful stay at this brand-new hotel. The staff were so welcoming, breakfast was delicious, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. We didn’t manage to use the pool, but hope to come back and try it next time.

The room was nicely decorated, but there weren’t any special amenities for us to use, and at this price it felt like a standard hotel. It’s called a boutique hotel and rated four stars, though to me it was a well-decorated standard hotel with three-star service. After a long travel day we asked for a duvet as a second blanket. It was brought up, but we were left to put it over the king-size blanket ourselves. The robes might have been a nice touch if they fit. I’m 5'4 and medium built, and mine wouldn’t even close. My boyfriend is 6'1 and a bigger guy, and couldn’t get his on at all. The slippers fit me but were useless for him. Breakfast at €30 per person was pretty sparse. Also, if you’re hoping for a swim or hot tub after a long day, don’t count on it, the pool closes at 8:30 pm. Somewhat disappointed.

We had a wonderful stay in Honfleur and plan to come back. Le Rituel Honfleur is a small boutique hotel, with excellent rooms, a lovely full breakfast, and enjoyable staff. No complaints.

Honfleur is stunning, and we’ll definitely be back. The hotel is just a few minutes’ easy, flat walk from the harbor, and the whole team made us feel welcome. We chose it to unwind at the end of a nine-week trip through Spain and France. They let us park our van out front, set our dog up with a bed and bowls, and lent us an adaptor. The front desk was incredibly helpful, and we enjoyed the hot tub despite the freezing December weather. I’d give it six stars if I could.
