The gardens are spacious and so quiet, and our room looked out over them. It was comfortable and a good size. Cyril was accommodating whenever we asked for anything, and the dinner he cooked on our first night was outstanding and great value. Breakfast was lovely, with fresh ingredients and plenty to eat. We’d stayed here twice before, but this was our first visit since Cyril took over, and it’s still just as good. We’ll be back, perhaps to try the new self-catering apartment next time.

Cyril made us feel very welcome on our second stay at Au Bois Dormant. He’s generous and a wonderful host, and even adjusted a delicious dinner to account for an allergy. Breakfast was phenomenal, with plenty of locally sourced food, including produce from his garden. Our room was spotless and well appointed. We had a lovely stay and would happily recommend Au Bois Dormant. Thanks, Cyril. We look forward to seeing you again. Caspar & Lian

The price was well worth it. The room was warm and spacious, the bed was good, and the shower was big. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty, and made with very good products, all served with a smile and friendly conversation. The place has a vintage feel rather than modern luxury, but it’s cozy and warm, like being at your grandma’s house. Their welcome and all the little thoughtful touches made us feel that they were truly happy to have us there. After eight hours of travel, they greeted us with a homemade apple pie, a lovely gesture I unfortunately didn’t photograph. It was a real pleasure staying here, and I recommend it 100%.

Cyril paid close attention to our comfort throughout our Ascension weekend at the gîte. We enjoyed having a drink on the little wooden terrace, looking out over the lush garden. Inside, the studio was roomy, with a huge shower room and a comfortable king-size bed. The brand-new kitchen had everything we needed, including utensils, a dishwasher, and two coffee makers. Nothing was missing. We highly recommend it.
