The room was spacious and spotless, with a lovely view over the lake, and the waiter was kind and professional. The breakfast, though, was a letdown for €11.50. It came with just two very small pastries, and the cheese felt like plastic, which was disappointing when you expect something different in France. The coffee tasted like hot water run through an old filter, not coffee at all. Everything else is worth recommending, but save the money and walk five minutes to a bakery in the village.

There’s a lot of history here, and the older hotel is kept in good shape and clean. We ate really well for a fair price, with quick service from friendly staff. Try the rump steak or tuna. Breakfast was fresh and varied, served in a tidy room, and everyone we met was friendly and professional. We’ll be back!

We had a great time in Huelgoat, and the lovely atmosphere was part of it. The staff were very friendly, and the food was excellent quality. We ate here twice and would absolutely recommend it.

We had a perfect view from our room at Hotel du Lac. It’s in a beautiful spot by the lake, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

We come here for celebrations and for those nights when we can’t be bothered to cook. It’s our local choice for a good meal in pleasant surroundings. The food is always tasty, hot, and nicely presented, whether we pick from the menu, choose a set meal, or just have pizza. Staff are consistently friendly, capable, and around when you need them. Well worth a visit.
